The Clean, Oil, and Adjust (C.O.A.) are intended to keep your flute playing at its peak and to extend the time between overhauls.

All keys are cleaned out and oiled
The mechanism is unpinned for proper internal cleaning and oiling
Tarni Shield is hand applied to the flute body to remove as much dirt and tarnish as possible without buffing.
Additionally, the body and head joint are cleaned with an ultrasonic machin
Tenon fit is checked and adjusted if needed
The worn or missing key corks felts, or other silencers are replaced
The keys are reassembled and the instrument is regulated.
Venting height is adjusted according to the recommendation suggested by the manufacturer
Pad shimming is done where needed
The headjoint cork is replaced
The instrument is tested.

FLUTE OVERHAUL

A Flute overhaul is one of those services that once you do it (and it's done well) it makes sense - and often you can’t imagine ever going back to playing an instrument that is less than perfectly setted-up.

All pads, corks, or felts are changed
Head cork is replaced
Tone holes are checked for the correct level
Springs changed where necessary
Keys are swedged where necessary
All accessible dents are removed.
Tenon fit is checked and adjusted if needed
The mechanism is unpinned for proper internal cleaning and oiling
The instrument is carefully washed, polished, and cleaned (ultrasound machine)
All new pads are installed and pad leaks are eliminated by shimming the pads.
venting height is adjusted according to the recommendation suggested by the manufacturer
The instrument is oiled and reassembled
The instrument is play tested.
